‘Wrap Up’ this Party Season

December and January is a fun time of year, with lots of parties to go to and opportunities to spend time with friends.

But it is also the time of year when young women are most likely to get pregnant, with statistics showing a rise in unplanned pregnancies during the months of December and January.

You are twice as likely to have unprotected sex whilst under the influence of alcohol than when sober - opening you up to increased risk of unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.

Our ‘Wrap Up’ campaign offers information and advice about how to stay safe, look after your sexual health and not take unnecessary risks, especially when drinking alcohol. Remember to use a condom every time you are sexually active.
